The Sancho Effect

The name The Sancho Effect Personal and Professional Life Coaching was partially inspired by the story of The Butterfly Effect along with a personal life event that is still being written today. More on that later, however in 1963, Edward Lorenz, an MIT Professor, Meteorologist and Mathematician, also known as the father of the chaos theory, presented a hypothesis to the New York Academy of Science. His theory, stated that a butterfly could flap its wings on one side of the earth and set molecules of air in motion, which would then move other molecules of air in motion (so on and so forth) eventually capable of starting a hurricane on the other side of the planet. Lorenz and his ideas were laughed out of the conference. What he had proposed was deemed ridiculous. So, imagine the scientific community’s shock and surprise, when nearly 30 years later, physics professors working with colleagues from around the world came to the conclusion that “the butterfly effect” was in fact authentic, accurate and viable.

It is now recognized as one of the Universal Laws known as “The Law of Sensitive Dependence Upon Initial Conditions”.

Just imagine what a single choice today could do to your tomorrows and how infinite the possibilities are. The story behind the tattoo and name Sancho is still unfolding today.

All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.
— Arthur Schopenhauer
